Chris the "manager" was the most rude person I've ever met at an event like this. My family runs a banquet hall so I understand the hassle that goes along with the business. But to yell at my uncle who is paralyzed on one side of his body for not getting out of the doors by exactly midnight. My uncle had to be carried on a chair to please Chris so he'd stop yelling. He called my mother a liar because another worker brought my 6 year old child a chair. Then another worker had to come apologize for him. Didn't even have the guts to do it himself and then lied about it again. He called me names and was the rudest person I've ever met in the "service" industry. The facility was beautiful and the rest of the workers were great. Chris needs to go. I heard several others tell him he was rude as well - those people had nothing to do with my situations.
Cloister in the Woods is a beautiful reception hall; both indoors and outside.
Unfortunately the food was below our expectations. Some of the guests mentioned that the dinner was cold and the entrees were tough to cut and chew. Otherwise, everything else went well. If the quality of the food was improved, Cloister in the Woods would be a five star experience!
Great time. Good music
Very clean. Nice venue for wedding receptions
The food was the best part of this venue to be honest. The day before my wedding I was allowed to decorate the hall myself which was awesome perk. the food tasting a few mo before was also a plus. I was told I could have an option between 2 meats for my wedding and was later denied that after I already gave down payment :-( Day of my wedding I was hounded per contract for $150 CASH for the security guard (at an awkward moment after my cake cutting). I was treated terribly-especially at the end of the night by the coordinator. The serving staff was awesome though during dinner. My table runners didnt show up and I was left with white cloth (instead of lime green!). I was given a $20 consolation check and told there was nothing we could do to replace the linens (grrrr). Everyone knows there are rowdy family members at every wedding-well the coordinator decided to take it out on me, the bride and roll her eyes several times and raise her voice- my parents and GOD as my witnesses. I don't regret having my wedding here, I just wish I would have known how this woman was beforehand since she waited until my big day to show her 'true colors'.
I especially liked the large windows to look out at the beautiful landscaping.
